how much should a skylight cost?
I have a 30 x 45 skylight in my bedroom that needs replacing. the first estimate i got was $1400 - glass skylight with copper something or other. I told the guy i wanted basic.
Is $1400 a lot?

Paid $700 at Widowrama last yr for that kind of sky light with copper flanging (sp?) but my DH installed it so that was for window only.

I had one put in (not replaced) in my kitchen with a sun shade. parts and labor was $1900.
