How much of a discount do you get for taking Defensive Driving?
And if DH and I were to both take it would the discount be more? (For ex. if they give you a 10% discount for taking defensive driving and DH and I both took it, would it still be 10% or 20%)?

It's only a percentage off your LIABILITY. Most people think they will save 10-20% off their total insurance quote.
I save about $40 every six months for my DD class.

It is 10% off Liability, Collision and Personal Injury Protection for 3 years. 
eta: and up to a 4 point reduction on the license.

If you're looking for a place to take the Empire Driver Safety course, the Williston Park Library is offering it on May 31 from 10-4. $38 p/p

We have Geico. I guess I will have to call and see if they accept this class.

Everybody should accept this class as long as it's given by an accredited professional. You just have to fax the insurance company the certificate you receive.
If both of you take the class, it's 10% off for each of you.

I think it was 10% each or more points on liscense.
