How much is a private room at Winthrop?

My SIl is due in July and asking.

i believe it is 220 a nite. That is what my friend just paid who delivered in nov.

I paid 220 a night back in 2007 - it was so worth it - I would have paid 500 a night if I had to!

I think $220. I should have done that. I hated sharing a room. Especially with having a c-section, I would have preferred to be alone.

I just had one is Oct. 220 a night. Totally worth every penny!

I guess they don't raise the price of them because we paid $220 a night back in 2003. Well worth it!

I thought it was so much more (I told SIL I thought like $650 - boy was I off!)

I'm not sure why I couldn't afford it then

Thankfully I was only there 2 nights and my roommate had a catheter from her section so I had the bathroom to myself and bed by the window which worked out well.

FYI....a friend of mine delivered there 2+ weeks ago and they only had 2 private rooms in the Maternity ward. I am not sure if this is a permanent change, or if they used the private rooms as shared b/c of the huge influx of people delivering (it was the full moon and had almost 150 births in 4 days).

At any rate I just wanted to give a heads up.
