How much for Christmas pictures?
In the past we've gone to a professional photographer but this year it's just gotten too expensive. I know that places like picture people and JCPenney usually have deals but I also know that after they get you for all the different sitting positions and backgrounds it adds up Lol. Just trying to see about how much others have spent on places like this when all is said and done versus a professional photographer to see if the change is worth it. TIA!

How much for Christmas pictures?
We got ours done at Target. For $49 we got 19 pictures, some of dd and some of all 3 of us together. We had two different backgrounds during our shoot. And the photographer set us up in several different group poses. She even did a few maternity shots to focus on my belly. We got all 19 pics emailed to me, and I was able to download them to my computer to use however I want. I was really happy with how all the pictures came out. We did our photos a couple weeks ago, when they were having a special price. I think the price went up now, but it's still nice to be able to get all your photos to use however you want.

How much for Christmas pictures?
I just did JC Penney and they have a groupon for $15 and you get 3 digital photos if you want to buy the full CD its $80. I thought it was great and would def go this route next year. I may target next year since I think the full CD is cheaper.

Because our family is so big (lots of portraits to buy) and because I really like to play around and control how my cards come out, I find that it's just easiest to buy the disc of photos from penneys. They usually have coupons for about $80 for the disc.
There are other great cousins for packages, but the disc happens to work better for us.

Ive gone to picture people and jcp and never spent more than my groupon. It's easy enough to scan the photos at home and use for cards or reprints if u don't get a digital. But this year picture people includes one digital so....

I usually do a professional photographer or do them myself but I was too lazy this year and just took the girls to target. For $50 i got all the images in an online gallery which is awesome. No pressure to buy anything anymore or sitting there trying to pick out which poses you like. I did the pictures in the end of September it was great no one was there and I had no stress. Pictures are beautiful! I can't wait to send then out.

i usually do all of my holiday pictures with a professional photographer. It's a holiday mini (45 min. session) for $100 for all pics, edited and unedited.
i went to Picture people for Fall/Halloween pics and ended up spending $150 for the cd for 6 pics

Thanks everyone. I didn't even know Target did photos! I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I've never used groupon. How does it work?

Download the app to your phone and it's pretty simple from there.
And Target does great pictures!
Not all locations have a photo studio though.

They changed their policy this year and no more enhancements on the discs... I was so bummed...

I bought a groupon for target at the end of the summer
It was $20 for all the images (about 20)
They did 2 backgrounds and did a great job especially for 3 young kids
Her is one of the pics (I did more like fall pics)

We did a Christmas mini for $250 and it was so worth it! My girls are 6 months and the photographer was AMAZING with them! It couldn't have turned out better! Her set up was gorgeous!
I snuck a few shots!

The price went up to $75 November 1st but I still think it's a great deal. We did DD's birthday pics there in October and they were great.
