how much does TTC cost you?

Trying to prepare...

I actually thought that going off the pill and TTC would SAVE money because no more co-pay, but after reading the expensive thread it made me realize... OPKs, pregnancy tests, sperm-friendly lube, pre-natals, special thermometer? other things?

I know you dont have to use all of these things, but please give me an idea of what they cost (and where the best place to get thm is!) I want to be prepared.

OPK- $30 and pre natal- about 15, but that was for 1 month.

When I was TTC both babies I invested in dollar store OPK kits & pregnancy tests & a bottle of Robitussen & prenatals (from Target) & that was it.

i started with OTC prenatals and that was $25 so i switched to target gummies and they were 11.99 i think for a bottle of 60. i have been buying dollar store tests so no real cost there.
the opk's were i think around $35-$40 but it was 20 sticks and they last me 2 months.

prenatal vitamins vary. You could get over the counter (which is what I get) or some doctors will recommend prescription, which sometimes will end up cheaper if your insurance covers it.

I never used OPK's or temped. With my last pregnancy we were super lucky and got pregnant the first month, so we only had to buy a few pregnancy tests (cant remember how much they are). the $1 store sells them too I believe and I think you can order them online too.
