how much DHA do you take each month?

Anyone know how much DHA you are supposed to take each day?

I've been taking Rite Aid prenatals but realized they don't have DHA. I have another 100ct bottle left so I bought a 90ct bottle of Nordic Natural Prenatal DHA soft gels assuming I'd take one a day and then buy a combo prenatal when they ran out. However, I just read the bottle and it says to take 2 soft gels/day.

How much DHA do you need? (especially before a BFP) I looked online and the One A Day Women's Prenatal has 240mg of EPA and 200mg DHA. Each NN soft gel has 90mg of EPA and 450mg of DHA plus another 30mg of "other" Omega-3s. This is slightly more Omega-3s than the One a Day and twice as much DHA.

Anyone know if it's OK to take one soft gel a day? Is this a "serious" question that merits calling my Dr?

In my opinion and my OBs opinion, you don't need to start taking DHA until you get a BFP.

When I was pregnant the first time, I took the Lipil Expecta DHA gel tabs, but now CVS makes their own brand of them. You can get a good deal when they do their B1G1 sales.

i took regular prenatals without DHA before i got my bfp...
as soon as i got my bfp i switched to the ones with DHA, i dont know how much is in them tho.

I was told 200 mg.. more than that does not necessarily mean extra goodies for the baby..
