How many times a day do you give your 4 month old cereal???
Do you give it to them in a bowl or mixed in the bottle?

At that age, I gave it to her twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. I also gave it to her from a bowl.

I never went past once a day with either DD. I gave it in a bowl first thing in the morning.

We started cereal at 6 months because DD was breastfed at that time...but either way our ped says to only feed her in a bowl mixed with milk, this way she learns how to eat from a spoon and most importantly so she doesn't lose the calories she needs from the milk by drinking milk and cereal together...they also recommend offering it 1/2 hour to an hour after the bottle so it doesn't interfere with any feedings..oh also when we started it was once a day for about 4 days just to check for allergies, then 2x a day at breakfast time and then dinner..good luck!

You should start by putting it in a bowl. Since DD is BF our ped doesn't start them on solids until 6 months - but the idea is the same. One time a day to start - and mix it with formula or BM and serve them from a spoon and a bowl. Our ped says at this age it is more of a social thing than a nutrient activity.

I just started her on cereal on Friday. I give it to her once a day - 1 tbsp cereal to 3 oz formula as per the ped. She only takes about 10 spoon fulls. It looks like I'm feeding her formula on a spoon LOL.
I only do it once a day to ease her digestive system into it.
