How many ozs of EBM should I bottle for 8 week old
Just getting back to work and pumping out BM for DS and not sure how many ounces I should be bottling for each feeding. TIA

I would fill a bottle completely just to see what your LO will take in one feeding. You might waste a couple of oz, but it's really hard to tell otherwise.
I believe my DS was taking 5.5ish oz of BM at that point.

With formula, I heard rule of thumb is there weight times two - so if DD was 10 pounds, 20 ounces for the day - divide by feedings.
Not sure if its the same rule for BM.

i agree with the above.
also each baby is different so it's hard to judge. my DD was drinking about 3oz at a time at that point.
and at 10w she's now drinking between 4 and 5 oz at each feeding... sometimes less than that too; on a rare occasion she drinks 6oz. (she's also a grazer... sometimes she will drink 2 ounces every 20 minutes.)

I really have no idea how much DS gets per feeding but just wanted to say, until you know, keep BM in 2.5 ounce bottles and if he drinks more, give another 2.5 ounce one. That way, if he doesn't drink that much it's not going to waste.

It will also vary depending on the age of the milk. When my ds had fresh pumped or recently pumped milk he would only take 3-4 ounces every 4 hours. If the milk was older from the freezer stash he could drink 5 ounces and need another bottle in 3 hours.
