How many ounces does/did your newborn eat?
DD is 5 weeks and sleeps great at night so during the day she wants to eat more like every 2 hours than every 3. I give her 4 oz bottles Bc the 3 oz was not satisfying her. So the total has been about 28 oz a day. Is that a lot??

IMO that's fine. Honestly at that young I went by their wants and didn't try to schedule them into a routine.

It could be a growth spurt. There were times mine wanted a few oz more here and there. I don't think you can overfeed a 5 week old if they are looking to eat and aren't spitting up.

At 5 weeks DS was STARVING and at 4 or 5 oz in each bottle, sometimes up to 6! I thought he'd never stop wanting more, but he's now 5 months old and still only takes 6 oz bottles for the most part. Babies know what they need, so feed them when their hungry!
