How many hours does your 3yr old sleep?

DD stopped napping at 2
The only good thing was she'd usually sleep from 7pm- 7am.
She fights bedtime so much that it's been getting later & later.
She's been falling asleep around 9:30, 10 & she's a nightmare to wake up for school at 7.
The worst thing is she's exhausted, lazy & miserable by 4pm but gets a second after dinner & won't fall asleep no matter how early or late I start bedtime.
I'm seriously thinking of throwing her in bed at 4:30 when she's tired & she if she actually falls asleep without a fight.
I feel like 10-7 isn't enough sleep.
I know they're all different but how many hours does your DC sleep?
& any suggestions on any of this would help.

My just about 3 year old twins sleep from about 8:30-7 and then a 2 hour nap. weve had our fair share of sleep issues. Hang in there.

DD is 3.5 and just recently gave up napping. During the week she is in bed 9:30-10 and is woken up 7:45 for the day. Weekends bed is usually 10 or later I let her sleep until she wakes on her own, anywhere from 9-10 usually.
Most days I know that:
1. She could use a nap
2. She would like to sleep later and can be a real bear in the AM
3. I would like to get her in bed closer to 9, but it just doesn't happen!

she goes to sleep around 9-930 and wakes up at 7. no nap. i also worry this is not enough sleep but we recently got her into her own bed so I'm hoping she will regulate. she's 3y3m.

When my DD was that age she was sleeping from 8pm to about 9am every night with a 2-3 hr nap during the day. She dropped naps at 3.5 yrs old.

Goes to bed around 9 and is up at 6am. He naps some days and not others. Nap can be anywhere from 1 hr to 3.

My ds will be 3 next month. He rarely naps anymore. IF he does he gets about an hr and a half nap. At night he sleeps from 9/930pm to 7 am.

Most days in bed by 830pm, if not earlier. Up by 8am for school.
He still needs a nap but does not get one, for a few reasons, including schedule. On the weekends, he goes to bed a little later and sleeps a little later, but is more likely to get a nap on those days.
My husband works late a few nights through the week and on those nights DS is usually in bed by 730pm. When DH does not work late, he stays up a little longer for family time.

ETA - When he does nap it is usually for 2-3 hours.

She falls asleep between 7:30 and 8. We usually start the routine around 7 and I read to her until 7:20 or so. Then she just lays there talking to herself or her stuffed animals until she drifts off.

My twins are 4 and gave up naps a little over a year ago. My singleton is 2 and still naps about 2 hours a day sometimes 3 hours. He's miserable if he doesn't nap. I start bed time routines around 7:30. Wash up, brush teeth, go potty and get in bed. The twins will fight a little here and there and my DD will constantly call for me. This goes on until about 8:30 when they fall asleep. They sleep until 7-7:30. Lately my youngest has been fighting bed really hard. Wont stay in his bed wont go to sleep. All three share a room for the time being and he walks across all the beds, turns on the lights. I've had to take him in my room and lay with him for 45 minutes before he is willing to go lay back down in his bed and stay there. Then he'll still be awake until around 10-10:30 before falling asleep. He wakes up around the same time because one of the other 2 will wake him in the morning. But he'd sleep late if he could. Night time is getting exhausting. I am considering starting bed time routine around 7:30 tonight and once they are washed up and dressed, bring them back downstairs for a story and some relaxing time and going into bed around 8:30.

my DD is 3.5 and hasn't napped since turning 3. she falls asleep around 830 pm and wakes up at 730 am. what i would suggest is something i call big girl time. i tell her she has to go take a rest in her bed. she can take her books, a toy, her iPod and she doesn't have to sleep but she does have to stay in bed and rest until i come and get her. this usually buys me 1-2 hours when i do it.

DS is 3 yrs 8 months. He sleeps from 8:30-7:00 every night and usually takes a nap that goes from 1-3.

How many hours does your 3yr old sleep?

DS goes to bed around 8:45-9 and is up by 7:30. He doesn't nap too often but when he does he naps for 3 hours.

I feel like there was a thread about this not that long ago and I was shocked then at the late bedtimes. I'm still shocked!

My DS goes to bed at 7 and is usually asleep by 7:30. He gets up anywhere between 6:30 and 8, but most often around 7. He naps probably about 2 or 3 days a week for 1-2 hours.

She sleeps between 11 and 12 hours, usually closer to 12. DD falls asleep by 8:30-9, and wakes up around 8:30. She doesn't nap, but I let her watch TV in the afternoon for an hour (or even longer) for some downtime. That's when her brother naps, and when I get some stuff done (or relax myself a little).

No Naps for my little guy…..but he goes to bed at 830 every night and gets up at 830- he's always been a good sleeper!

DS does not nap usually. If he does its for like 30-60 mins.

He goes to bed around 9:30-10 and wakes up around 8 or 8:30

DS is 3 next week and for the most part he sleeps from 8:30-9pm to 7 am. He takes about an hour nap each day, sometimes a little longer depending on how tired he is.

If he naps, he usually naps 1.5 hrs and sleeps from 9:30-6:45pm ish.

With no nap, he sleeps from 8:00-7:15ish.

Averages about 11 hours and change total.

DD will be 3 in April but she just stopped napping which has been rough. We've been trying to get her to bed between 7:30 and 8. She wakes up around 7:30. Some days she's fine and other days she's exhausted and crabby early in the day. Last week she passed out at 5:30 after a play date and slept through until 8am! I'd give 4:30 a try every now and then if you really think she'll go down and maybe she'll catch up a bit.

They nap daily 2-3 hours.
