12 Hours Sleep by 12 weeks old/Baby Sleep Solution
Has anyone read this book and used this method? Did it work for you? If so, how old was your dc & were you nursing?
I think this is the method I'm going to try, but ds is already almost 5m old...I'm just curious about how it really works if you're BFing...thanks!

Re: 12 Hours Sleep by 12 weeks old/Baby Sleep Solution
I read the book, it was referred to me by my friend who has a bunch of friends that absolutely swear by it.
We ended up not really sticking to it.. rather I just used the tips/concepts from the theory, if that makes sense. With that said, I have heard of those same tips and ideas from other sources as well. e.g. feeding him less and less when he wakes up at night, trying not to stimulate him when he wakes up at night.
I don't remember if there were any distinctions between formula fed or bf'ing babies... my LO is a formula baby.
ETA: Up until this weekend LO was sleeping 7-9 hours a night. But that's probably because instead of feeding him every 4 hours, like the book says, we do every 3. (I think he is going through a growth spurt this week) So, we basically tweaked the sleep solution and made it our own.

Thanks for your reply! Like you, I found a lot of similarities between this & other methods too. It honestly seems like a lot of common sense, but she focus' on getting in a specific amount/# of ounces during the day and then reducing the # at night, but I'm not sure how to really quantify the # of ounces ds is getting because he's nursed most of the time - she kind of just breezed over that part...or at least I didn't find it very clear I'm also wondering if her 4 hour stretches during the day are too long for a BF baby or not? Either way, I think I'm modifying it & sticking w/3 hour sessions...
DS is almost 5m old and went from a good sleeper to literally getting up every hour on the hour starting at 9pm once I went back to work. I know that he wants to bond at night, but I can't function like this anymore
