How many days a week was/is your 3 year old in preschool? ETA with another ?

Trying to decide if I should do, 2, 3 or 5 day program for her. It would be from 8:50 to 12pm.

ETA: Not sure if it matters, but she is rarely away from me and has never been to an organized program besides being with a babysitter 2 hours a week.

At 2, DD is going Tues & Thurs 12:45-3:15. Next year, I'm going to up in to 3 days a week for about 3 hours a day.

at 2.5 DD will start with 2 days 9-12 in january. i will also tack on another day of drop-off babysitting from 8:45-11:10 (she's been doing this for a year), so it's really 3 days she'll be out of the house.

i plan to do 3 days when 3 (i think that's all they offer), but would entertain the 4 day option if presented...

They both started at age 2 going 3 days a week for 2.5 hours.

Mine were never away from me either. It was really good for them, better than I even realized it would be.

we are enrolling Alyssa in a 2 day a week program that is 2.5 hrs long. When she is 4 we will do a 4 day/wk program most likely.

same here.....you know our situation and she did fine, she's even in a room of older kids (she's not 3 yet and the class is "young 3's")

Next fall I'm planning on sending DD (who will be 3 in November) 2 mornings/week. I think that would be the best for your DD too if she's never been in an organized class and hasn't been apart from you very much. (jmo - hope that helps with your decision.)

For the 3 year old program, DS did M-W-F from 9-12 and then in January, half way through the year, he did 4 days a week, 9-12.

My 2 older kids did 3 mornings and I will do the same with my DS #2 next year. They then did 5 mornings in the 4 year old program the following year.

ETA: I just found another school for my son (he's 2 1/2) to go 1 morning a week ( 1 1/2 hours) right now. I didn't do it with either of my other kids but it's a great idea to get them use to a class type setting and transitioning to another activity.

5 days a week, 9:15-12. Wow... this was the only option made available to us by the school.

DS started at 2.5 and goes 2 days a week 9:30-12. I have to decide for next year between 2 & 3 days. If I enroll DD to then I will do 2 days again because that is the only way I can send them on the same day. If we decide to wait until DD is actually 3 then he will go 3 days a week.

my DD goes to two schools. One through my school district that is free. She goes there for two hours two days per week and then at the other school that we pay for she goes 3 days a week for 2.5 hours. My other two kids went 2 days a week for 2.5 hours at 3 years old and then at 4 years old they went 3 x per week. I thin kat 3 years old 2 times per week is pretty much the norm!
