How many bottles and ounces?
does your 6 month old drink in a 24 hour period?
I know DD is a horrible eater but I am just curious what other 6 month old children are eating.
Also if they are eating cereal please let me know that as well.

He drinks about 28 oz daily

we just switched to 4 bottles 4 hours apart w cereal/yougart/foods a little after bottle and juice if she needs

my boys are eating solids 3x/day @ 6.5 months. here is our feeding schedule:
7-8am (depending on wake-up): 6-8 oz bottle
9:30 - cereal w/fruit
12:00 - 6 oz bottle
2:30 - yogurt w/fruit + veggie
5:00 - 6 oz bottle
6:00 - cereal w/veggie
8:00 - 4-6 oz bottle (whatever they drink before bedtime)

My DD will be 6 months old in 2 weeks. She has 4 8oz bottles. She finishes them all except the afternoon one, she usually leaves a few oz in that. She also has cereal with a stage 2 fruit in the morning, and cereal w a veggie in the evening. I plan on introducing yogurt for lunch in a week or two.

My DD drinks far less than most. She turned 6 months last week and drinks anywhere from 18-24 ounces per day. But she is much better with solids - she has 2 tbsp cereal and 1 tub of fruit in the morning and 2 tbsp cereal and 1 tub of veggie in the evening.
I actually spoke to my ped tonight cause I was concerned she wasnt taking enough formula after reading what most 6 months olds were taking. He told me would only be concerned if it was less than 16 ounces in a day.

How many ounces does she drink in the 4 bottles?
sorry .. 8oz.
she was getting 7 every 3 hours but would only drink half her bottle. now she drinks it all.

Oh gosh my DS must be such a little piggie! 
We just started introducing solids about a week ago. Ped said to feed him until he is full and that he will tell us. Today for breakfast he ate 1/2 a banana, 1/2 an avacado and a couple of tbsp of oatmeal on top of being nursed. Most of his food and his oatmeal is always mixed with breastmilk too so he gets a bit more in that way as well 
For dinner - I gave him avocado and oatmeal and he was screaming for more so I gave him practically an entire banana pureed. Mind you, this was only one hour after nursing. Double
8ish - Nurses
9am - 2 Tbsp Oatmeal plus at least 2 oz of fruit/veggie
11am - 7 oz bottle of BM
2pm - 7 oz bottle of BM
5pm - Nurses
6ish - 2 Tbsp of Oatmeal plus as much fruit/veggies as he wants (at least 2 oz, but usually more)
7ish - nursed to sleep (but I don't think he drinks too much then)
He is still waking at least once a night to nurse, most nights twice.

I think as long as she is a healthy weight she will take in as much as she needs. I wouldn't fight it. Perhaps just keep offering it to her and she will take more and more as she gets more accustomed to it?

I just feel in the past week or so she has really decreased her food intake by a lot. She is definitely small for her age. She will be 6 months on the 29th and still wears 3 month clothing. However she was only born at a little bit over 5 pounds. She is in the 10th percentile for weight but 50-60th percentile for height. The doctor keeps telling me as long as she is gaining weight and growing, he is not concerned about it (this was at her 5 month check up) but everyone else keeps nagging me that she is not drinking or eating enough for her age, so of course I am getting concerned. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow and see what they say and she has an appointment in about 2 weeks.

When donyou give her the bottle? Before or after solids? We always give bottle before food. Maybe that will help?

9ish cereal
12 bottle
4 bottle
5ish cereal
7:30 ish bottle and bedtime routine
ETA- it can also take her over an hour at times to finish 4-5 ounces and I have already moved her up to the size 2 nipple and dont want to move her up another nipple size because she has a tendency to spit up a lot.

When DS was 6 months old, our ped said he should be drinking 28-30 oz. a day. DS nursed 2x a day and got 2 8 oz. bottles. He also went from 2 meals to 3 at 6 months.
