how long does it take to get to Newark airport on a Saturday?
I have a 1:30pm flight to Honolulu on a Saturday (don't get excited, it's for work and not for fun). I am coming from the south shore of Nassau -- RVC area.
What time should I have the car pick me up to take me to the airport? I've never been to Newark airport...

I would say about 2 hours -- only because of traffic on a Saturday. It also depends when -- if it is after Labor Day the traffic to NJ won't be AS bad but if it is before you have to worry about traffic of people getting off the island for a variety of reasons.
Just to be safe - two hours.
We take Kenneth right by there on Tuesday's & Thursday's.
I've become quite the expert on traveling to Jersey

I can tell you that from the Verrazzano Bridge it takes about 1/2 hour (depending on the time of day).

Do you mean leave two hours before my flight or leave 3 hours before my flight so I get to the airport by 12:30?

It's going to take me 3 hours to get to Newark airport from Rockville Centre? Really?! I only need to be there 1 hour or so before my flight...
I really didn't want to have to leave so early -- wanted to have a nice breakfast with DH before I leave.
Ugh. I didn't realize it was so far away. (I didn't get to choose what airport to leave from b/c I have to work on the plane with my coworkers...) Great. Fun way to spend a Saturday.  Gotta love NY traffic.

Hmm, it takes us two hours to get there from Smithtown - so, OK, deduct 30 minutes because you are in RVC. Still, though, I worry about the traffic on a Saturday -- sometimes it can be brutal. But, an hour and a half should be OK from RVC.

I guess I'll split the difference and have the car come at 10.
Now I'm going to have my secretary see if there is a flight into JFK or LaGuardia for my return flight. I HAVE to be on the Newark flight heading out there, but I am coming back alone... I just think these are the only nonstop flights between here and Honolulu.
