How long does it take?

How long does it take?
the irs posts a calendar. you can look up when your check will be created and/or when your direct deposit will take place. if i remember correctly, they do it on fridays and it's about 2 weeks after your file.

It’s been over 4 weeks for us for federal. This was the first year we got a return so I’m not sure if they are holding it to make sure they don’t want to audit us? When I called last they told me they didn’t need to tell me anything for a certain amount of time and now I just could care less. I’ll be happy when we get it direct deposited, but I don’t get the hold up.

Mine took 2 week for federal and almost 3 weeks for state

The IRS has an app, IRS2Go. You can check fed there and there is a website for NYS too.
I filed 1/22, they were accepted on 1/29. I got my State on 2/17. My fed I have an issue with and I have to go to the IRS on Thursday to clear it up

I received the direct deposit of my federal refund exactly 1 week after I e-filed. The state was deposited exactly 3 weeks after e-filing.

To update my own post, I e-filed on Feb 24th. received Federal today Mar. 7th, but not state yet. Maybe that info will help someone.
