How long do you/did you log baby's diapers and feeding?
Did anyone do it longer than 3 weeks? DD is three weeks on Wednesday and I don't feel like I need to log the diaper and feeding activity anymore. Curious when others stopped.

How long do you/did you log baby's diapers and feeding?
I think I stopped logging around then, probably once he had gained a decent amount of weight over his birth weight, which was probably around 3 weeks and he hit about 8lbs. Maybe 4 weeks. The only thing I continued to use was the ap just to help me make sure I had him switching boobs for each feeding.

Dd1 I did it for a long time. Dd2 didn't do it all, even in the hospital.

Um, only as long as YOU want to do it.
I did it for awhile only b/c I am crazy organized and it made me feel more at ease to do it - and it was one less thing for me to have to remember on my own.

Maybe a week or 2? Mostly bc I was trying to bf and she was having trouble gaining weight.

Once I had a routine and felt like a sane person again, I stopped. I pretty much just changed his diaper when he nursed - otherwise I would forget.

6-7 months. I also included wake times and sleep times and a section for "comments" (burped well, gassy, woke up screaming, sat up independently etc...). It made it so easy to track patterns and made it easier for caregivers to see what was done in the past and for me to see what happened that day. I even saved the journal from my 1st baby and referred back to it for my 2nd baby.

My 3rd- I kept forgetting to do it in the hospital. Paper never even made it home.

I log bottles or I forget when DD last ate. She rarely shows hunger cues so I have to remember when to feed her.

DD is 3 months and we use the Baby Connect app all the time for everything -- wet diapers, poop diapers, bottles, etc. Since her peeing and pooping is predictable (between 8-9 wet diapers a day and 2-3 BM), we are going to stop logging them and just use the app for bottles and nap/sleep@ night. I feel like I'd forget the last time she ate if I didn't log it! Putting in her naps and what time she falls asleep and wakes up help me track patterns, which is super helpful since she is starting daycare in a month!

DS1 I never did it.
DS2 is 2 weeks old and I am logging everything because he has been having trouble gaining weight. We go back for another weight check today and if he is growing gap as he should, I will probably stop this week.

Same. I just estimated in the hospital because I thought they would yell at me lol. Never logged anything at home though.

For my first baby, I did it for months... not diapers, but I kept an excel spreadsheet documenting all his feedings... now I actually wish I hadn't... I should have been more laid back about it.
This time I haven't kept track of anything, even in the hospital. He eats & poops & pees a ton & gained plenty of weight without a problem so it hasn't been necessary. In my head I just try to remember which side he primarily ate from the last time so I can alternate.
