How long do Uggs live?

I bought mine 2 years ago, so this is their 3rd winter and everything was fine so far but this morning I went outside and a few snowflakes landed on the toe of the shoes in the seams and 5 minutes later I felt like my feet were in puddles. Soaking wet! I never had that problem before. I mean, I don't wear them in the rain or step in water in them, but I have worn them in the snow a few times before and it has never been a problem. I do use the waterproof spray as well.

Did they just run their course? Is it over for them? I called Zappos asking them if there is anything I can do and the woman told me that 2 year is a very good span for Uggs. I was like, really, 2 years? Boots that cost almost $150? I have boots and shoes that I have worn for 5-6 years and they are in great condition.

Can the Uggs owners tell me how theirs are holding up?

My DH's cousin's wife told me Uggs have a lifetime warranty for defects, which this sounds like, as I have Uggs for 5 years that don't do this. She sent her Uggs back and they sent her a replacement pair. I would contact Ugg directly.

Warranty Returns

The UGG® Australia warranty applies to footwear less than one year old from date of purchase. It applies to defective materials and workmanship. All items sent to UGG® Australia which are past one year from date of purchase will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Items returned for defect evaluation will be processed in the order they are received. Evaluations can take 1 to 3 weeks.

Exchange will be shipped via UPS Ground at no cost to the customer.

I've had one pair for about 5 years, one for about 4 and the other for 2. THey're all fine

I've had mine for 3 years. There is a little rip on one of the seams, but I still wear them all the time.
Maybe try spraying them with the weatherproofing stuff again?

Uggs aren't waterproof or water resistant. I'm guessing you have a classic style. Even if you spray them, that's more for salt or markd on the suede.

I sold 2 pairs of my Uggs on ebay this winter b/c every time I wear them in snow, my feet got wet or if I got caught in the rain, I could feel the water coming in. I had 2 pairs that were almost 4 yrs old and in good condition - swapped them out for a new style called Belcloud that better for this kind of weather.

I think Zappos would take them back if they rip of the zipper breaks. My friends kids broke a pair from last year and Zappos was great on taking them back.

Sorry. I would just send them back to Ugg and see what happens. I'm sure they will make good on them if that is their policy.

all my uggs are fine and I had 1 pair for more than 3 years but I have never worn them in rain or snow. I just don't think that the waterproofing spray works

i've had my brown pair for 3 years now and they're definitely done for
theyre all messed up. i tried to get them cleaned but they told me my boots were burned. i have no idea how or where they could have got burned. so i just wear them if im just running to the store real quick

Uggs are NOT waterproof.. they are only COLD weather proof.. any moisture WILL cause your feet to get wet and it'll ruin the boots..

I have one pair that is about 5 years old and they have held up very well. However, I didn't wear them in the snow much.

I recently bought a two pairs in the past month and the quality is very different from the first pair. The first pair was made in Australia and the last two were made in China.

They changed it somewhere in 2005-6 where they were made. If you have a pair older than 5 years, check where they were made.

Even though it says UGG Australia, it is an American brand and most stuff is made in China.
