I did not "wait" but I came off the pill in april and got pregant in july ( I had af twice and then I got pregnant)

I got my last AF on the pill one year ago today.
I found out I was pregnant on August 26, 2006.

Some doctors say you should wait 3 months to let your body regulate itself, but mine said that the pill is out of your system 24 hours after you take the last one.
I was on it for 6 straight years before I got pg

I got preggo 2 weeks after coming off the pill - my doc said there is no medical reason to wait, it is just easier to determine the due date/when you got pregnant if you have had an actual period off the pill.

My Dr. advised me to wait one cycle before trying-I went off BCP in Sept -got AF in Oct and got pregnant in Nov

We didn't wait. I was on the pill for about 10 years, stopped taking it the end of October and was pregnant the middle of December!
My doctor told me that your body's hormones kick in immediately after you stop taking the pill.

I waited three months off the pill to start actively trying. We got pg three months later.

Some doctors will say yes but that is because (in my opinion) , it makes it easier to track exactly when you get pregnant

i will always wonder what would have happened if i listened to my dr and waited...but i hear so many ladies who didnt wait and went on to have healthy PG...

That was actually last May. It took me awhile to get PG after that mc, but I can happily say I am now 36 weeks PG with a little

I was suddenly having a horrible reaction to the pill (killer migraines when AF came), so I came off about 9 months beforehand. My doctor wanted me off 3 months minimum, to give the uterus time to restrengthen (supposedly the pill strips your body of certain vitamins and minerals). He also put me on prenatals at that time.
