how long did it take to get your period after giving birth?
especially BFing moms. I am 6 months post and still haven't gotten it. I am BF is taht okay?

its very common to not get it when BFing.

5 months for me. I was partially BF. I BF 2 times day & pumped 3 times a day until 4 months PP. I dropped the morning pumping in the beginning of Nov & got my first AF the end of November.

I EBF my first and got AF back at 7 weeks pp.
I FF my DD and got my AF back at 9 weeks.
Go figure.  I got weeks, not months!

I stopped BFing at 4 weeks...took me 12 weeks to get my first period..exactly on the day of her birth...LOL..

I think I may have gotten something at 6 weeks pp, but it was only for one day. I am BF mostly and supplementing so I have no idea when I will get one. I get cramps a lot and I think I am going to start, but nothing yet.

Ds was ebf and af came at 6 months. My sister bf all 3 kids and it didn't come until 2 weeks after she completely weaned. So she didn't get it until the were 18 months old. SO it depends on the person.

6 months with both boys. My girlfriend got her's after 2 months and I have known woman who didn't get it until they stopped BFing. Just be careful..... I have an 10 month old and a baby due in July (got PG while nursing).

BF-d for little over 7 mo and no period not even spotting. Stopped BF and got my P in a week or so. For some people it takes longer after they stop BF.
