How long before TTC

When should I tell my Dr I am going to start TTC? How many months in advance should I make an appt? I went off BC on my own (without telling dr.) and have started charting. We will probably start TTC sometime in the next 6 months.

I got pg the same month i told DR we were planning to TTC, it was actually at my yearly.
I got a BFP even before my blood work came back.

HOnestly, I think you can go whenever you want too or feel ready, or if your yearly is coming up, you can tell him/she then.

I just had my annual physical with my doctor and I talked about it. I will have my annual gyno in January and I will mention it. It's not really necessary to let them know exactly when unless you have some concerns. That's just me.

I went off BCP in February without telling my DR and I plan to start TTC in March....I actually went last week to my DR and told him my plans.

He went over a few things and basically said the only thing he wants me to do now is exercise because when I get pregnant I will be able to do whatever I was doing beforehand as far as exercise.

He also sent me for a Rubella test. He said sometimes our immunity goes away and if that is the case, he wants me to get the vaccine now because apparantly after you get the vaccine you shouldn't get pregnant for 3 months. So that fits into my March TTC date if I do have to have it. I just had the bloodwork done Saturday so I will find out this week.

I think it's a good idea to talk to your DR in advance just to get some information that might be helpful.

He told me to call him in February when DH and I stop using condoms and he will go over some do's and don'ts while TTC -
