How long after waking does your toddler go down for a nap?
I ask bc my mom watches DS 3 days a week and she puts him down at 12:30 everyday whether he was up at 5:00am or 8am. I put him down for naps about 4 hours after he wakes. Thats his only nap of the day. I dont find one works better or worse than the other, I was just curious.

I put DS down about the same time but usually within 1 hour different. top He usually goes for a nap at 12:00pm. Sometimes 11am if he woke up ealier. He is a routine kid. I like to keep his naps consistent.

DS is 2 and 1/2...
On School days he doesn't go down for a nap until after 1PM
On non school days, he goes down around 1215/1230
He's up by 630AM

Chelsea wakes up at 7:30
She takes her nap usually at 11:30 unless we are out.

Around 4-5 hours.
Her nap is generally around 12-2, (daycare has a set schedule, and we keep that for the most part on the weekends).
However, if she seems overly tired, I'll put her down early.

we stick to a routine unless ds is showing he's tired (which is rare). he can wake between 7-9am and nap time is always 2pm.

Same with us. He ususally gets up between 7:30/8:30 am and goes down by 11:30/12 noon for a nap.

Elizabeth still gets 2 naps... the first at 8:30 and the second sometime after lunch... could be 1:00, could be 3:00. Depends on how crazy she's acting.

DD is 2 and no matter what time she
wakes, her nap is always between 12:30-1.
Today for instance, she woke at 5:30  so she went in at 12:30.
Normally she's been waking at 7-7:30, so I'll put her in closer to 1.

DS usually gets up at 7 and goes down for his nap around 12:30. Weekends he will sleep till 8 sometimes, but I still put him down for a nap round 12:30. The only time I try to get him sleeping sooner is if he woke up very early, seems unusually tired, or if we have to be someplace in the afternoon and I want him to sleep a bit beforehand.

My MIL is big on schedules...she puts DD down for a nap every day between 12:30/1....but she wakes up at the same time every morning (7:30am).
On the weekends I put DD in for a nap when she gets tired....generally it's about 5 hours after she gets up and she only takes one nap a day. She is 17 months.

during the week, I wake dd up at 7:40 to go to daycare and she goes down between 12:30-1 for her nap
On the weekends, lately, she has been sleeping until 9:30-10am   so I put her down at 1:30-2 for a nap
