How has your style changed
now that you're a mom? When I go into a store I sometimes feel "stuck" like I don't know what style is appropriate. I've found myself shopping in the "misses" section now instead of juniors.

Re: How has your style changed
I feel like I can't go into certain stores anymore because I'm "too old" or a "mom".
Now that I am a mommy, I like my shirts to be less form fitting and a tiny bit longer. I just like to be in more comfy clothing without looking like a slob.
I always feel like my hair is a wreck because it's in a pony tail 24-7.

Re: How has your style changed
I'm stuck between the cool styles of the JR's but can't fit into them and the Misses which fit, but aren't necessarily "cool". Sometimes I feel too "old" when I walk through Old Navy!!
I'm a comfy person anyways, so I'm not totally into looking like I walked out of a fashion magazine.

Re: How has your style changed
I don't really have the use for shoes with any heel.Just give me my puma's and flip flops and I am set!!!
Right now I have a closet of suits/work clothes that I have not used in almost a year and I don't think they will be used any time soon...
I also feel I used to get manicures everyweek but now I am lucky if I go at all!!!

I really don't think it has changed, I still like to wear heels and shop at the stores I used to shop before.

Me three!! I use to worry about how I looked all the time, my hair was always blow-dried and straight everyday, and now I just toss it up after I shower. I wear teeshirts and lounge capris and sneakers, cute look!

Re: How has your style changed
I went from having style to not! I have a hard time figuring out what is appropriate for a 24 yr. old mom. I now wear yoga pants with t-shirts and capri's with flip flops. I use to get dressed up for work and I really didnt have to it was business casual but I enjoyed it.

Re: How has your style changed
no way, style is VERY important to me, that is one thing I could never sway on. I have lots of single girlfriends so they keep me up to speed! I wish I was less fashion conscious because I stress myself out wanting/needing the new trends, I love clothes and shoes Iy drives my hubby nuts, he alwasy tells me "it's not a fashion show babe" whenever we go out, but for me, it still is. Unfortunately my oldest daughter has taken this trait on, she is very fashion saavy and does NOT leave the house without the proper fashion attire

You wouldn't want to to see my credit card bills It's tough to stay on top of the trends but it makes me feel better about myself if I feel I look nice when I am ging to work/dinner/my daughter's school . When I look frumpy, I feel frumpy too, ad that just ain't me. We'll go shopping Beth!! My girlfriend has horrible style but tons of moneyand I went with her to buy an outift for an event we all had a few weeks ago, and i had a ball spending her money on th emost amazing clothes!!

Re: How has your style changed
I don't know about my style but the baby is always dressed. He will be all matching aocks, shoes hats and I'm lucky if I remember to brush my teeth.
I try ..however I give myself my own manicures and try to straighten my hair about once a week.
It's all about him now

This is soooo true! My shirts now-a-days are longer and looser than they used to be. Good-bye to the days of Forever 21! hah:

I feel the same way. Just because you are a "mom" doesn't mean you have to dress like an old lady. I still shop in the same stores, but just can not wear body-showing clothes anymore. I will wear low-rise jeans but with a longer top to cover up. I never understood why you need to change your look because you have a child. My mom dressed everyday, with all her make-up and it made me feel good that she cared about herself.

Im like this too although Im not really wearing many skin baring outfits anymore because its inappropriate for my age moreso than my body. I feel blessed that I look good after having a baby and I like to stay with the trends as well.

Re: How has your style changed
Im pretty much a simple person - hair in pony tail - like to wear comfy shoes - especially now when im traveling and walking around with the baby and stroller etc....also because I don't have as much time as I used too. But i do make it a point to put some makeup on every morning - not much - but just enough to make me "feel human" and "feel myself" I also find clothing that I used to wear back in the high school days less appropriate now because im a bit chubbier and tight fitted shirts just don't work for me right now - But this style works for me - i can't imagine finding the time for morning blowouts every morning --- - quick showers and hair up is the way to go for me.

Re: How has your style changed
I never had any style & I still don't. I don't think what little style I had changed because I became a mom. I think it changed because I gained so much weight & have no idea what looks good.

AMEN ladies, if it is important to you, don't lose it. I have 3 kids and work and I just do things differently, I wake up a bit earlier or do my hair the night before and I shop when the kids go to sleep so I can really concentrate on what lI'm trying on and if it looks good. My Mom never looked like the typical Mom and I feel she has taught me the same, your appearance is important (especially in our society and where I live), it makes a huge statement about you. But... new Moms are exempt IMO, I think a pony tail and sweats for the first few months should be protocol
