How early did you start picking names?
I think I want to wait until I am at least past my first trimester. What did everyone else do?

Re: How early did you start picking names?
I've been thinking about names since before I got my BFP Now that I am in the second trimester, just trying to narrow down the ones that we both like.

Re: How early did you start picking names?
ummmm way before we even started TTC We had our girl name for probably 2 years now. So, when we found out we were having a girl she was already named. If we were having a boy he wouldnt have had a name...we could never pick boy names.

Re: How early did you start picking names?
Ive had a girl name picked out forever...for years. Because I had the girls name, and the boys middle name, DH got to chose the boys first name. He pretty told me what he liked and we decided pretty early on (In the first trimester).

But we won't get serious about names until later. We haven't even discussed it since my BFP. I'm only 7 weeks now

I knew my 'girl' name since I was about 12. LOL and I thought I didn't want kids then.
Go for it. You might change your mind over the 40 weeks!

Re: How early did you start picking names?
We've had names we both like and somewhat agree on since we first talked about TTC. But we're not deciding on anything until after we know the gender. No use in us fighting over boy names if we're having a girl and vice versa

Re: How early did you start picking names?
Late! We found out that it's a at almost 21 weeks and right after the sono DH mentioned his favorite girl's name (which I didn't like) and I mentioned mine (which he didn't like) and it was awkward and we didn't talk about it for, oh, about 10 weeks after that. He kept trying to bring it up, but I kept avoiding... mostly because I came around and now I really love his #1 choice and I didn't want him to "win".
So, even at 30w, we hadn't had a real discussion about it yet! We're pretty set on his name choice now... probably... maybe... eh, I have one or two weeks to decide.

We are already decided for both a boy and a girl. I'm 6 weeks.
It's DH's turn to pick the name and he's been set since my first pregnancy.

Re: How early did you start picking names?
We started tossing around names in the 1st trimester. Had the name picked out right away. For the I had a fav and he had a fav. We compromised and he got the boy name and I got the girl. We wanted to have the names picked before the Level II so we could start calling the baby by it's name. We're having a named Connor

Re: How early did you start picking names?
I'm 23 weeks pregnant with and we haven't even started discussing names yet. I think we should get on it especially since we have to decide 2! But everytime I start, we start talking about something else-nursery, carseats, etc.

Re: How early did you start picking names?
For #1 we both had the same boy name before we met! so that was easy. We did think of a girl name before the level II. It was a boy
For #2 we had agreed on a girl name (different from the first pregnancy) before the level II, but couldn't come up with a boy name until I walked into the hospital - it was a boy
For #3, since I let DH have #2, he agreed to the girl name I wanted (different from both of the first two pregnancies!) It's a girl. He did nix one middle name (a family name on my side - which it isn't really a great name, I agree, so we are using a different family name)

Re: How early did you start picking names?
We had names picked out before the first bfp. We would talk about names for fun when we were thinking about ttc the first time around.
3 months into my second pregnancy and we are still set on those same names. If it's a girl we have two names to pick between but if it's a boy we are pretty sure on the name.
I still think I want to see the baby first before I commit 100% though Unless we find out the sex and start calling the baby by name.

Re: How early did you start picking names?
We had names picked out for years - since we started TTC over 3 years ago.
Since then someone we know named his son the boys name that we loved and talked about him on FB so much that I just couldn't use it after that. We then decided on another boys name and of course we are having a .
DH really liked the girls name until he saw the spelling of it written down (Niamh) and then he nixed it, so we have been trying to come up with something we are both happy with.
I think it's so much easier to name your unborn child when you're actually not pregnant. I feel now that it is such a responsibility to pick a name for life!

Re: How early did you start picking names?
I am 17w today and we havent even given it a thought. I decided I wanted to wait until we new the sex so I didn't have to fight DH about names we would never even use.
Picking one will not be easy as DH & I are opposites on things like this.
