How many watchers do you have?
At that last minute is when most bids start come in...

Re: How does EBAY work?
many people watch an item and don't bid on it till the last day or two because if they bid really early other people bid and that just drives the price up which they as buyers don't want

Re: How does EBAY work?
Usually people watch till the last day and then the bidding goes bananas.
I just had my 1966 Beetle on ebay, and there were a few bids on it, but on the last day which was today, A lot of people bid and I sold the car. I had 40 watchers, and over 1750 hits to the auction.....

the idea is you start low so people will be interested and then a bidding war will ensue, if you start too high people just pass it by however there is no guarantee that people will bid and the item will go for alot the only way to ensure that is to put a reserve price when you list it which means you put down a price that if the bidding doesn't go to that amount you won't sell, buyers don't know your reserve price but it will say reserve not met until someone bids high enough
hope that all made sense if not ask some more or even fm
