How does babyGAP tend to run, size-wise?
DD wears 3 or 6 months right now in Carters
what does that translate into w/babyGAP? I want to buy some stuff online
thanks!

gap runs true to size for age, i think.
Carters... they go by weight in size, which frustrates me.

DS is about 15 lbs and pretty long - he's wearing 6-12 months in BabyGap.

They're pretty true to the size with certain things (like tops) being just a tad bigger.

Re: How does babyGAP tend to run, size-wise?
See I disagree..I find Carters very true to size, ex. DD would be in 3 months until she turned 6 months then fit right into 6 month clothes.
DD is now wearing 18 months in Carters but her GAP pants that are 12-18 months are soo long on her, and she is in the 90th percentile for height??

and i think carters runs small! DS was wearing 6 months at 8 weeks.

For my DD, I find that Gap runs a size bigger. She is 18-24 in everything else but in Gap she is still 12-18.

Re: How does babyGAP tend to run, size-wise?
I find I get gap clothes and they fit for a longer period...like my son is 9 mo and easily still fits in 6-12...So I guess that means they run little bigger! (Carters,I find, is very true to size..love their clothes)
These are my two fav stores...both my kids' wardrobes are mostly these two stores! Bec of the quality of clothes, the cuteness and the durability, and how true to size (or a tad bigger) they are!

Re: How does babyGAP tend to run, size-wise?
i would say pretty true to size. there are some pieces with wonky sizing, and usually with their tee's i go a size up because they tend to run smaller (for girls anyway).

ITA
For newborn-infant I thought they were big for DD but as she got older they seemed to be more true to size for her.
Now at 2yrs...they are right on.

Carters 3 months is the equivalent of 0-3 month clothing. The 6 months is the same as other brands' 3-6 month clothing. I find Carters to run big. When DS moves up a size in other brands, he can still wear Carters for several more weeks.
Gap runs pretty true to size.
