How do you store your recipes?

I have a big binder, but its getting out of control. I'm trying to find a more efficient way.

So how do you store your recipes?

Thanks!

Mine are a mess too. I have a folder, and there are pocet dividers inside, to seperate by course, but it is overflowing.
DH has a lot on the computer, but I prefer to have a printed out recipe, so I never remember which ones are where.

I am thinking maybe an accordian file folder.Chat Icon

Re: How do you store your recipes?

I just shove everything in the front of my biggest baking book so DH got me this for Christmas: http://www.russellandhazel.com/content/recipe-binder-sets

The picture doesn't do it justice, it's very nice. I can't wait to transfer our recipes to the cards!

Re: How do you store your recipes?

I don't...

I google all my recipes, which probably isn't good bc I am sure I forget things.

Also, my mom doesn't write recipes down, so I have to call her and ask her how to make her things Chat Icon

She NEEDS to write them down though!

Re: How do you store your recipes?

I just upgraded to a three inch binder. I kept all my dessert recipes in my old binder. Plenty of room now.

if it's a recipe i've tried and know I will make again I add it to a word file that I've had for about 5 years now. I back it up every so often.

I have this old recipe box that I got when I was 15 at the Warner Bros. Store. It holds my go-to recipes.
I also have a binder (but need to get a bigger one) with the poly sleeves and I also separate them by entree/vegetarian/sides/desserts.

Re: How do you store your recipes?

I have a Longaberger recipe box, but honestly I often use a cookbook or allrecipes.com and don't copy it on to a card.

Re: How do you store your recipes?

Most of them are in my head.

The ones that I adopt or change I keep on my hard drive.

I print them out when I need them.

Re: How do you store your recipes?

I have a Word document with almost 300 pages. I need to find a better system though because it's not organized well.

Re: How do you store your recipes?

i recently typed them all up and put them on 4x6 cards. I made the cards have different colored strips for appetizers, main course, side dishes and desserts. I bought a photo album from homegoods and i slid each card into the pockets, keeping it organized by category. It is great to have this file on the compt too, because i printed it out and bought another photo album and gave one to my SIL at her bridal shower...
