How do you remain positive and not discourage?
For our first few months of trying I didn't really let it get to me that we weren't getting pregnant. Now as we are on month 5, I am having anxiety over not being able to. How the heck do you remain positive without feeling so down? (By the way, at my yearly, I had a full exam, plus internal sono and gyno said everything looks good.)

Re: How do you remain positive and not discourage?
My SIL and BIL have been trying for over 2 years and my cousin has been trying for a very long time as well, although I'm not sure exactly how long. I always remind myself that they've been going through this a lot longer than I have so I shouldn't complain. My other cousin can't have kids, so I remind myself to be grateful that so far nothing indicates that I won't be able to have children.
It helps sometimes, but it still hurts sometimes that it hasn't happened yet. It takes so long to be ready to TTC and then once you're ready you just expect it to happen.
Hang in there, your time will come.

Re: How do you remain positive and not discourage?
I don't know. I am onto cycle # 6 this month and I am getting discouraged. They do say that it can take up to a year for a healthy couple to concieve so I try to remind myself of that. I had a chemical pregnancy this past cycle so at least I know I have the ability to get pregnant. I am trying my best to remain positive but it can be so fustrating.

Re: How do you remain positive and not discourage?
When I started my doctor told me on average it take 6 months to get pg...figure average includes people who get pg fast adn people to take long...but at least i had that number in my head when I started.
hang in there..it definitely becomes stressful. I got pg on the first shot but had a m/c it's been almost 4 months since I found out I was pg and now I'm back at square one...it definitely is scary...

Re: How do you remain positive and not discourage?
Stay positive girls! I'm a firm believer of everything happens for a reason. I try not get too upset at BFN's (even though I do anyway), because when that BFP does come, that is the baby that was meant to be. It's hard to see now when we are in the waiting game, but looking back after you have your DC, the waiting will all be worth it! Good luck to everyone and lots of babydust!!!

I think that is so true. I try to remind myself the same thing. I have relatives who tried for years before they could get pregnant. Then another who can't have children. I did get pregnant during my 4th month trying but then had a m/c. I do think that well i didn't have to wait as long as others did TTC with 1yr + or longer & atleast I know I can have kids, (since i was able to get pregannt)
It is fustrating. I def know I stressed and had anxiety every month when i was trying. Now that I am trying for the first time this month after the m/c def not looking forward to the anxiety starting all over again.
I think we all feel the same way at times!! I do def more often that i should.
Goodluck!!
