How do you get your LO to take these nasty smelling vitamins?

the first time i have this to DD she gagged and she never gagged on anything before. she is on all table food but i sneak it into some purees or yogurt. i do about half a syringe at a time.

I mix it in her morning bottle. She hated me squirting it in her. Mouth. So I tried it in her bottle and no prmblems

how long has your DD been taking the vitamins?
My DD is same age as yours and no vitamins yet...just wondering if this will come at a 1 yr checkup?
Since about her 6 month visit I think.
They said she needed the flouride...even though she has no teeth!

I have been giving my son a vitamin since 6 months and I agree it is gross! My ped told me NOT to put it in food (don't know why?!) BUT I put it in his food! It's the only way he takes it. I feel it is all going to the same place!!!

DS has no problem with them, he opens wide for them. He has been taking them since 6 months, so a year now. You can get them flavored for free at Target and they will let you know which flavor goes best with the brand you are buying.

my little guy was on multivitamins with iron and flouride- it smelled like hot nasty pennies, and it stained everything a smelly hideous dark putrid green- clothes, cheeks, bibs, and when it got in my hair id just have to shower. so gross
he took it like a champ for a while but then he started to hate it. i stopped giving it to him because he didnt like it and i just figured that he eats a well balanced diet, so screw it...
i just looked at the bottle, and it says "take 2 hours after a meal or 1 hour after, and take with plenty of water"
how do the doctors tell us to mix the vitamins with food?
