Never heard of that. I probably would cancel and go somewhere else!

That's ridiculous, I'd go somewhere else.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. I can't stand that! I'd rather not spend my money at a place that would place a time limit on my meal.

Re: How do you feel about restaurants that put time limits on your dining experience?
It actually happened to us at Al's BBQ on LI.
We were 2 couples. Mind you, we had a few drinks prior to being seated because they were running behind (and we had a reservation!). We have dinner, side dishes, more drinks, desserts.. the whole nine yard. We were "digesting" and we started to get "the look" from waiters/waitress until the GM told us to move to the bar to finish our conversations. The nerve!!!
I will NEVER go back to that place again or to anyplace that will stress me out that I must be done by a certain time.

There is...when I was waitressing, they said the average diners stayed about 52 minutes.
To have an average is one thing, but to expect people to get up and leave is another. I would find someplace else to eat and not even bother cancelling my reservation. Then I'd send a nice letter to the management explaining why I didn't bother showing up.
