Listen , I know what you are talking about. But, there are some real (nice) hard core vette fans out there. It's not just the car, it's the entire theme around the car. Not the attitude that some have. Unfortunately there are a few youngsters  out there with attitudes. But this also goes for the dreaded and weak rust-tang as well!

Remind me of Prince's song "Little Red Corvette" and the head manager when I worked at McDonalds --- he was hot and knew it, so was his car -- that was in 1984ish....

hahahaha..this post actually makes me laugh..my dh is a HARD CORE vette fanatic. I always told myself..I would never date a man with that car..I thought the same things..too guido and old men drive them...and NEVER would I tbe caught dead in one of those..Well, four years into our relationship..guess who decides to buy a corvette..yep, my dh!!!! All the convincing in the world didn't stop him. I felt really stuck..do I leave him or keep him?? just kidding..I remind him that if STEVE SANDERS (From 90210) can give up his corvette for kids...so will he when we decide to TTC..hahaha
The "other women in his life" also made it to our engagement shoot..

Thats like buying a yellow car. You don't buy a yellow car because you think yellow is "cool". You buy a yellow car because you want to draw attention (either positive or negative - it doesn't matter).

i think a pink caddie "stands out" but i wouldn't go buying one
ETA...and rarely will people buy the average car in TAXI YELLOW...
they usually buy the hot car to back it up
have to say i never saw a Ford Taurus in yellow on the road

Well, even odder, he decided to take it to some backwoods town upstate on our way to his parents house, and we had a shotgun pointed at us at a gas station and were told to leave the town.

A woman I used to work with has a corvette. Every Friday we would car pool in the vet. Great car, awesome ride.
However definatly not hot. When I look at a corvette I think nice car. BUT after working with her uh every time I see a corvette she jumps into my head.
Corvette's are her life. She even belongs to a corvette club. They meet the first Tuesday of every month. She enters her corvette in shows and contests. She's taken home numerous prizes.
Definately NOT HOT!
