how do you cope...
how do you cope with having to be ready for it to happen for you right away but also accept that it could very well take a really long time? I am struggling with this

Re: how do you cope...
I wonder about this all the time... It's like every month I go through a tidal wave of emotions.. Anticipation/excitement at what may be yet also panic at the thought of being responsible for a little baby, and then eventually disappointment when a BFN comes. I know that children are in our future eventually (even if we cannot have any of our own we will adopt) and I just try to go with the flow and live my life as normally as possible. That's not to say I don't have a total meltdown every month when AF comes but after a day or two I am mostly fine.

Re: how do you cope...
Patience isn't something I really have LOL. but with DD and ttc with her I DROVE DH nuts. I was so stressed each month it wasn't happening for me. After I realize what my behavior was doing to my husband. I started to lighten up and deal with the fact that it will happen one day. HTH

These boards get me through....I feel like everyone around me is preggo and for some it was easy as 123 some had some trouble but to know that I am not the only one going through this. Helps
Also I just keep telling myself we r doing everything as we should and it will happen..just taking longer than we thought

me too.
i just try to stay calm and distracted. i'm not doing a very god job tho
as far as being emotionally ready to be pregnant, the good thing is that you have 9 months to get used to the idea of taking care of a baby. i don't get too worked up about that.
it's the disappointment that's a killer.
