How do I keep myself occupied
I am 5 weeks today and I feel like the days are dragging. I know I shouldn't rush the time but I really want my sonogram already. I had a miscarriage in April so I have a whole mix of nervous emotons and uncertainity. Anyone have recommendations on how to keep myself busy so I stop staring at my calendar? We also have not told anyone other than my sisters and it is killing me not telling my Mom but I want to hopefully surprise her with a sonogram picture of our healthy baby. Anyone else feel like the time goes so slow

Re: How do I keep myself occupied
Happy to know I am not alone! That is so exciting for you!! I kind of feel like a kid again when you knew your summer vacation was coming yet you felt like it was an eternity getting there and then summer came and was gone in a flash! I am guessing that is how pregnancy will be after the first trimester

Re: How do I keep myself occupied
The first trimester, the days dragged! Especially when I had to wait an extra week to get my bloodwork done and then two weeks for my sono!! No advice.. but right after the first sono, it will seem all the more the real and days will start rolling off.

Yep. Was there. But what kept me going was my first sono was on my Birthday - is there something special on the day you're schedule for your first sono?
Also, think about it - you'll be able to actually see something and hear the heartbeat. I'm glad I waited. That's how my baby already has the 'pet' name peanut - Mr. Peanut was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the picture. LOL.

The only thing is the couple days leading up to the appointment we are going camping...in a tent Not the most ideal but trying to keep myself from being eaten alive by bugs and shooing animals away from our campsite might keep my mind occupied I am happy we are waiting for the sonogram so that I can see or hear the heartbeat. That will be the greatest gift ever

Sorry but I feel like for me the time FLEW by! I had so many different appointments in the beginning. I think thats why. I was always waiting or looking forward to the next one. Hang in there. It will be here before you know it.

Re: How do I keep myself occupied
I wish I had an answer for you. I miscarried my last pregnancy so I've been pretty nervous with this one. My first sono was at about 8 weeks and it was torture waiting for it. The only thing I had to keep me positive was that my beta #'s and progesterone were all okay.
Now I'm waiting for my NT Scan and I'm a wreck. I made it further with this pregnancy so far but I'm still nervous. I have about 2 weeks and I'm hoping it goes fast.
Try to stay positive. I know it's hard. Maybe start a book?
