how do i go about making an appt. with an RE
so i just vented on the TTC board about taking clomid with my obgyn and not an RE.
well im sooo mad and wished i went straight to an RE.
how do i start the process? how long does it take to get an appt. i am going to go with east coast fertility in patchogue.
are they going to make me wait longer since we have only been ttc for 6 months? i have very irregular cycles.

Re: how do i go about making an appt. with an RE
I had to wait about 2-3 weeks for the first consultation, and that was with the next available dr (who I ended up loving).
I don't think they would turn you away if you've only been ttc for 6 months, especially since you said you have irregular periods. I would first check with your insurance to see if you have IF coverage, then I'd call to make an appointment. Also, I would ask your obgyn for copies of your medical records to bring with you on your first appointment. It's always nice to have your RE know what you've tried and haven't tried prior.
Good Luck

i would def call up a RE and make an appt. Tell them how long you were ttc, and what you tried; im pretty sure they wont turn you away. Since your ob put you on clomid is basically acknowledges that there is something going on with your body...a RE will just monitor you closer. good luck

Re: how do i go about making an appt. with an RE
thanks!
i had just asked on the other board if its an issue if your not ovulating till day 30 or longer? bc the nurse 'thinks' this is when i would have been ovulating if i do end up ovulating. is this another reason to see an RE?
