How did you tell your family/ friends you were pregnant?

We are going to tell his family next weekend-it's a mini family reunion. I bought his lil sister a family picture frame that will have a poem about the baby's arrival in it rather than a pic, his dad gets a plaque that has a quote about grandkids, and his mom gets a stand that has a quote about being a grandma. We plan on asking them to all open their gifts at one time and everyone will have a part of the surprise.Can't wait?

I told some over the phone, some in person and I made a general announcement on myspace..lol

I bought a card for my parents grand parents to be and wrote a long note about me having child.
We also called my in laws today and sent them a picture to there cell phone of the pregnancy test!!

Everyone couldn't stop crying!!!

We just told them today!!!!!

the only one that was really sweet was our friend katie (most others found out via email using the pregnant digital pic)....

We recently went on a delayed honeymoon and one of the places we went to was the Boyds Bear Factory in PA. We got a 'baby safe' bear for my sister in law and got ourselves one - just for the future.

I showed it to Katie (it's the softest thing EVER)...and told her - we got one for Brian & Rachel (bro and sis in law) and we got one for us too - because we're pregnant and due in June.

SHE SCREAMED....it was soooooooo wonderful... I was so glad i waited to tell her....

When we tell our parents - we have plans (not sure how possible this is) to video-record the sonogram where we hear the heartbeat and tell our parents we have our 'honeymoon video' and just start playing it for them...

I was truly in shock, so no time to be creative.

Our families knew we were going through IVF, so they were pretty much expecting a Yes, we're pregnant, or No, we're not. We called my mother and grandmother and told them (since they live in Florida), my IL's and my father/siblings we told in person.

Friends we told in drips and drabs as we saw them.

my mom brother and sister in law that they were going to watch our wedding video- but my husband made a quick dvd of few wedding photos with that last pic being our sonogram and a graphic at the end that said " we're having a baby"

it was awesome!!

we told dh's parent's at their anniversary party. after they cut their cake, we gave them a present- mil thought she was getting a framed enlargemement of our wedding pic but it ended up being an enlargement of sonogram..
they loved it!

DH and I were at a family bq and he told everyone "he" was preggers....well that shut everyone up and started looking at the both of us with a puzzled look....then he said....Well I am not, but she is....it was funny (we always like to add humor into everything we do ).
