How close to due date do most ladies deliver?
I am trying to plan ahead re baptism, etc, and am trying to figure out when my SIL will deliver.
How close do most women go to their due date or can that vary greatly?
Is it likely safe for me to plan my Christening 2 weeks before SIL's due date?

Nothing is "safe" when it comes to pregnancy. You never know what is going to happen.
Personally, I would not plan your DC's Christening 2 weeks before her due date unless you are ok with the fact that she may not be there.

Unfortunately, I may have to take that chance b/c I would have to wait too long if I wait until after. And I can't do it sooner than 2 weeks before SIL is due, due to immunizations, etc.
I either have to do it two weeks before or wait about 2 mths after they are due, which I really don't want to do a Christening almost 5 mths after my baby is born.
It's a tough decision that's why I am curious what "usually" happens. Thanks...I don't know what I will do.

I don't think planning it 2 weeks before is wise. If anything I'd plan it after she delivers or wayyy before like 2 months before.

I can't plan it before, my child has to have shots, which takes me to about 2 weeks before she is due to be safe with that.
And if I wait until after their baby is born, I would think I would have to wait until their child is ready to come out in a crowd due to shots, etc, which means my child is now abt 5 mths old, which I don't want to wait that long.
It's such a tough choice.
