How can you tell the difference between a

Pomeranian and Pappillion? I'll include a pic later but, I dont know what to look for.

Here is a pic of the new addition to my family. I absolutely love her, and she is going to be the one who goes everywhere.

poms have smaller ears and manes like lions. I also think they are fluffier like little bears.

papillons (means butterfly in french) have bigger ears with longer whisps of fur hanging off. There coats seem smoother and not as fluffy.

just my but i think the biggest difference that you can tell right off the bat is ear size.

They have completely different fur and Poms are usually smaller. Also Poms are generally not multi-coloured.

Not all Papillions have erect ears. There is a Phaelen variety with flopped ears.
