How can you tell if it's a rash from an irritation or a food rxn rash??

My DD ate apples for the 1st time today. She's been fine with everything else so far but does have a milk protein allergy (never got a rash from this tho).

In her bath tonight I noticed a triangular shaped red rash no bigger than a quarter on the back of her neck. It honestly looks like her bib at dinner rubbed her neck until it got irritated. Or that the collar or tag from the shirt she wore rubbed her funny there.

There is no rash anywhere else and she's acting fine...but I'm worried bc we did introduce apples today...

What do you think?

I say give it to her another time and see...it does sound to me like her bib...you would see more patches of it if it were an allergy, I think...

I think (I could be wrong) a food allergy rash would be more distributed all over the body, not just a little patch.

My DD had a reaction to strawberries (I knew she would, I'm allergic too). She starts to get a rash on her face...then down her neck and on her belly

Either way, I'd give it another go, it sounds like the bib.
