How can you spot a single mother???
I need to write a comical paper on how you can spot a single mother. I know it sounds a bit off but it will come together nicely at the end and it is a satire piece on a label that applies to me
I am one myself so I have wrote a list out
I would appreciate anything else to add

You really can't but...
Tongue in cheek with some truth to it:
She's in shape.
Put together/dressed better than me.
She has no wedding band on.
She's furtively glancing for wedding bands on the men.
She has a child/children.
She is yelling at the kids and/or looks embarrassed at their actions (this distinguishes her from a babysitter).
or if you really wanted to find some
Go to family court where they're filing against their deadbeat dads.

She is more in control of the kids because she has no one else to rely on. Kids are on their BEST behavior and tremble under her eye.  ((Speaking from personal experience.)

no joke...i look better now than when i was married. lol my outfits are more put together. but you'll also notice that DS is like my growth. he won't leave my side.

sadly its the truth alot. so many poor single mothers trying to find a place to live/eat.

Intersting! I feel like I never have time to get my hair done or anything else since doing everything alone. It is like I am just a shell of my former self.
I was writing it in the direction of how disheveled I have become,,,and a yeller!

Kids are not in sports
has a boyfriend
children more likely to be in private school

She is sitting at ballet with her son in his baseball gear checking her e-mail, drinking coffee, and braiding her daughters hair before class. She has cherrios in her hair and a lovey in her purse but still looks less frazzled then you do with you husand sitting next to you
She is the mom that buys cupcakes from the bakery and then smashes them down to look homemade and when her daugter slips about how unhomemade they are she smiles and walks away cursing her exhusband for not telling her about the bake sale soon enough.
She may look like a hot mess but she knows EVERYTHING...like seriously everything there is to know about herself and her kids becasue she has to not because she wants to and you can see the stress in her eyes
Her clothes are from the early 90's and her kids are in the latest trends.
She drives a beater and her kids go to whatever activities she can send them to.
She will go with out to provide for them on her own.

we were at disney once,and she throws her 4 year old up on her shoulders.
she was obviously in pain.
i asked why not stroller...
she said if she isn't on my shoulders, she will never experience riding on anyones
