How big were your twins at birth?
I went to the doctor yesterday. I am 27w1d and baby a is weighing 2 lbs. 1 oz., baby b is 2 lbs. 3 oz. He said that is big for 27 week twins. I have visions of giving birth to two 8 lb babies if I make it to my 38 week induction date.  Is that even possible?

My boy was 8 lbs and my girl was 7 lbs..I made it to 36 weeks.
It was hysterical because they considered them premature in the hospital..but they were just as big, if not bigger than the rest of the babies in the nursery.

How big were your twins at birth?
My DD was 2lbs 14oz and my DS was 4lbs 2oz both born at 32 weeks. I was told they were 3lbs 6oz and 3lbs 8oz at my growth sono a few days before going into labor.

As of last Wed. my twins were weighing in at 9oz and 7oz. That was at 18 weeks. So yes, I believe its possible.
I have that same vision!

How big were your twins at birth?
Mine were 5lb4oz and 5lb3oz at 36 weeks. They scheduled me for an early section due to IUGR though so I know that was smaller than normal. My MFM told me that your uterus can only stretch so far and at a certain point your body thinks that it's time for labor if you're too big. I was already having painful contractions at 36 weeks so I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't have made it to 38 weeks anyway.

I gave birth to a 7lb 1oz and a 4lb 15oz. For almost the entire pregnancy they measure the same except the last week or 2. So you really just never know what will happen. There was really no room left for them and the bigger one was basically sitting on top of his brother. I delivered at 37w3d (they were considered full-term).

i delivered at 38 weeks at 4lbs 14 oz and 5lbs 4 oz, and im pretty sure they were predicted to be at least 6lbs at birth

I was sectioned at 38-2 and had two girls. Baby A was 8.10  ( the biggest twin my MD had ever delivered....lucky me) Baby b was 6.15

I had a section at 37-3 b/c of a prolapse cord. Baby A was 6.10 and Baby B was 5-15. My first two singletons were nine founders, so they seemed so small to me, but the doctors and nurses kept saying what good sixes they were.

37 weeks, 6 days (2 hours shy of 38 weeks!) and mine were 6lbs 4oz and 5lbs 15oz.

I m SO thrilled to see all of these babies that were born at or close to term! My biggest worry is having them before 37 weeks and them needing NICU time. I will be 30 weeks on Monday so I'm getting there!

How big were your twins at birth?
My boys are now 3yrs. They were 7lb 11 oz & 7lb 4 oz. I delivered at 38 weeks by C section. I recovered SUPER FAST & only gained 44lbs.

My girls were delivered vaginally- 37 weeks, 2 days. Baby A at 2:10 and one and half later... Baby B at 3:40. All I had was a epi. The delivery wasn't bad at all. The babies were healthy and happy, no complications at all.

32 weeks and they are measuring just about 4 pounds each. I can't believe I am already carrying 8 pounds of baby. So far I have no braxton hicks, no health issues, no thinning of the cervix or dilating, so my guess is they will be cooking for at least another 3-4 weeks. Which is great because the closer to full term they are the better, but I just can't envision myself walking around with 2 6-7 pounders inside me.
