How big is your hospital bag?
I wanted to treat myself to a Vera Bradley bag since I really don't have anything right now. I was planning on a tote but after reading the lists of suggested things, I feel I may need a bigger bag...more like a duffel. Is that over doing it? What do you ladies think? How big are your bags?
These are the ones I was thinking about...

Re: How big is your hospital bag?
Go with a bigger bag or just pack some reusable shopping bags cause I'm sure you'll take home lots of stuff from the hospital ( pads, diapers, etc)

I took a duffle bag for me and things for DH (he stayed over with me). I also brought a small diaper bag filled with stuff for dd.

Re: How big is your hospital bag?
i'm using the large vera bradley duffel actually. I used a small rolling luggage with DS#1 but i'm bringing 1/2 the stuff this time since I didn't need/use it last time.

Re: How big is your hospital bag?
at one of the classes i took the hospital recommended actually packing 2 bags. one for labor and delivery, like cameras, phone charger, book/magazine/etc, snacks, etc. the other big bag is for when after you have the baby and are in your room- clothes, toiletries, etc. not a bad idea imo!

I would probably get the bigger bag to be on the safe side.

This is what I brought, but the smallest one that comes with the cases. You really don't need much. It also depends if you are having a vaginal or C-section. I over packed last time and know to pack much lighther this time around.

Re: How big is your hospital bag?
I had 2 bags - my rolling carry-on suitcase for my stay & a small canvas tote that had everything that we needed during L&D. We had both bags with us during L&D, but the smaller bag made it easier to find the stuff that we needed.

this is what I've done for both deliveries and I plan to do the same for #3. Right now I have two duffle bags packed -- we'll bring both to the hospital but leave the post-partum one in the car until baby arrives.

Re: How big is your hospital bag?
I had 2 as well. One for L&D and the other was a small rolling suitcase - which is probably the same size as your duffel. I really didn't have a lot that was extra... I didn't even have my husband bring the suitcase until the next day (I had the baby at 5pm and really didn't need anything in the suitcase until the next morning).
