How big is your hospital bag
Im having difficulty fitting everything into one bag...I decided to use my smaller luggage (The carry on that fits in the planes overhead compartment), I packed my clothes, and some toiletries, but Im worried that the last minute things I'll need, plus the things for the baby and the snacks are not going to fit...
Did everyone fit it all in one bag?

Re: How big is your hospital bag
At one of our childbirth classes, it was suggested to pack two bags: one for L and D, and one for the maternity ward. Ideally the maternity bag will stay in the car until I get a room after delivery.
So, for me: L and D bag is a large tote, and has things like socks, snacks, camera, phone/iPad chargers, a sweatshirt for DH, and some misc toiletries.
Maternity bag is a rolling carry-on, and has my clothes, clothes, more toiletries and whatever else I've tossed in there over the past few weeks.
Neither bag is packed to capacity.

I was thinking of packing 2 bags too. I was going to put all of 's things in the second bag along with anything I know I won't need until after delivery.

Re: How big is your hospital bag
1 rolly luggage for me, with LO's tiny NB outfit.
I will also bring 1 empty tote for stolen goods - ehem I mean items the hospital expects you to take home.
And 1 bag will be packed for DD - I anticpate her being there for hours of waiting and visiting - this bag will have non perishable foods/drinks, diapers, toys. etc.
Guess it will look like I am moving in :)

Re: How big is your hospital bag
I used a carry on luggage and hardly used half the stuff I brought with me!
I was in the hospital from Monday night-Saturday morning, which is a lot longer than most and still didn't use all I took!
I was in labor from Monday-Wednesday, so I was in their gown of course. I stayed in the gown until Thursday, when I was finally allowed to shower. I then changed into my tshirt, comfy loose pants and a thin robe I bought for the hospital with some cozy socks (slip-proof) and slippers that I had and threw out before I left the hospital.
You need that, a toothbrush and paste, a brush, shampoo/conditioner, moisturizer, chap stick, deodarant, DC's take home outfit and a blankie and carseat.....a camera, charger for your camera and phone...oh, a hair clip or two! THAT's IT! TRUST ME! DH can bring you whatever you need too if you realize you want somethig else like a book or magazine...but wiht DC you will not have time for that anyway! The stay in the hospital goes fast!

Re: How big is your hospital bag
The 2 bags sounds like a good idea. Vera Bradley duffle for L & D and then I'll use my luggage for Maternity ward.
