How are you feeling??? (vent)

I'm so fed up with people asking me how I feel when its so clear they don't want to hear the truth. My usual reply is something witty (if i have the energy) or "fine". But what I want to say is:

"I feel like sh!t. I feel fat and off my game. I'm always dizzy and exhausted. I hate the being on bedrest. It makes me feel like I'm failing my DS and choosing my unborn child above him. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. If I listen completely to the doctor and stay on bed rest I would be a neglectful mother. If I don't listen I get lectured on health and taking care of myself. I know my limits. Sure at times I push them but what else am I to do. I don't have the money to hire "help" and even if I did I dont have the heart to lay in bed while someone else takes care of my kid."


I know I'm overprotective at times. I overly anticipate DS's needs and I spoil him at times. But I'm with him 24-7. I know what he can handle and can't. I know how to work around all of his quirks, etc.

I'm stubborn because I don't know how to be any other way to be when it comes to taking care of my DS and the apt. I can't relax if DS isn't happy. I'm anxious if the house is messy and the clothes are piling up.

I'm just so fed up.

Im sending you lots of I cant say i know how hard it must be cause im not in your situation. But i can only imagine. My dd is almost 2 also (we were due around the same time last pregnancies) and i cant imagine being laid up in bed and not be able to take care of her to the best of my abilitiies. But you are on bed rest for a reason. And as hard as it is you have to do what is right for your unborn baby too. I pray things get better. Your a strong person. Be good
