how and when did you introduce ... (another table food post)
chicken, beef, lamb, pork? Do you make a soup? Do you purre? Do you mix with veggies? If you buy it premade, is it lumpy, smooth?
what about puffs, cheerios, teething bisquuits? Do you soak them, when first indroducing? Do you break it up?
Our ped says our hungry little monster is ready, I'm just confused how to do all this.
TIA
Eta, what about fish? Salmon and Tuna?
Oh and egg yolks?

Cheerios, puffs, baby mum mums, that sort of thing - 6 months. I just gave him one and watched how he did. Some babies gag, some don't. Colin has always been pretty good about not gagging from the start so we experimented with more foods early on.
I did about 3-4 wks of just cheerios/puffs before I started just giving him whatever we had. He was eating pork chops at 7 months. Just tiny pieces. Not pureed.
Eggs we don't do - he has a dairy sensitivy.
He has no teeth yet - 10 months today.

puffs was the first thing.... they dissolve almost instantly.
Cheerios I waited until 9-10 months although DD had 10 teeth by then....
As for Chicken, I tried some of the gerber jar stage 3. I took note to size and softness and branched out from there. I always find it helpful to try the food myself. Now @ 1yr - DD is eating just about everything, it's fun and fasinating to feed there sometimes BIG bellies :)

I started the meats at 6 months. I bought jars. To start I bought the small jars of stage 1 meats and mixed 1/2 a jar of that with a veggie jar(or 1/2 veggie jar). My DD did not like the already mixed combo dinners with meats-except for the earth's best ones. Most of them are smooth...some are not as smooth as others though.
Puffs and cheerios, I introduced at 8 months. I did not soak, but I did break the puffs in the beginning.
Fish she has had tuna and fish sticks..I guess around 10 months old-no salmon yet.
Eggs-ped gave the ok at 9 months-I gave scrambled first(did not separate them)...and she likes the egg whites on hard boiled eggs. Got the ok for yogurt at 9 months too.

Re: how and when did you introduce ... (another table food post)
I started puffs around 5 months and at first broke them apart, though I don't anymore. We started Cheerios about a week ago. I also give him tiny pieces of whatever we're eating- small pieces of grilled chicken, steamed broccoli (little pieces of the flower), cooked carrots, meatballs, etc... Jarred meats gross me out, so I never used them with my first DS and don't plan on using them now. DS will be 6 months on Thursday
