How accurate is zillow?
I started looking at Zillow , and while the value of my house is roughly what I thought, I started wondering how accurate they really are? How do they estimate the value?
(Even if they aren't accurate, I like the 45 degree photos of the area you're zooming in on. I know I could go to Microsoft's Virtual Earth, but I like seeing the house info as well.)

Re: How accurate is zillow?
I don't think it is very accurate, for example when it says homes in the area that recently sold, it doesn't say what type of homes they were, or size.

Re: How accurate is zillow?
It's not that accurate right now.
Mainly, I use it to look at houses and find out what they paid for it and when. But, you could do the same on propertyshark.com

Re: How accurate is zillow?
I don't think it's accurate at all. Their listings seemed low to me.
If you are looking at properties in Nassau, try mynassauproperty.com. I'm not sure if there is something similar for Suffolk. I think that site is more accurate than Zillow, but it takes awhile for information to appear.
