How a $358 Coach bag can be purchased for about $20
MACY's star rewards benefits after completion of registry - $250(ish) give or take
AMEX gift card from wedding gift that we thought we used on our HM but apparently was NOT used - $100
$10 coupon from MACYs star rewards that had NO exclusions.
So basically we paid $20 which is only part of the tax!
So psyched. It was like found money and DH did not make me use it on something we actually needed. I was getting ready to buy a covered vegetable dish - oh joy! I havent purchased a pocketbook since we started dating. Happy late B-day to me!

Thanks. Ill be honest with you, I was hovering between the LV counter and the Coach counter. I looked at DH and said "If I carried an LV bag, people would think it was fake anyway so why bother." Things are tight right now. I would never have dipped into a bank account or charged something like this. When money is "found," it is so much easier to justify spending it on something frivolous which is what this was. You can't use gift cards to pay bills, so I figured I may as well go for it right?

Wanna laugh? The summer of the black out, I was stuck in Manhattan on 77th and 5th at the park. I was sitting on a bench and I saw a pair of Gucci sunglasses. So I figured - FAKE. That was untilI put them on and saw they were prescription lenses. I sat there for about an hour because I couldnt go anywhere and took the glasses with me. I went to an optician at home and asked if the frames were in fact Gucci frames. Lo and behold they were real and I had non Rx lenses popped in for about $30. so the $120+ Gucci tortoise shell framed glasses only cost me $30+. I am rather resourceful huh?

How to get a $328 Coach bag for free:
Have mom convince BIL that sis wants a Coach bag (my mom doewsn't get that my sister is just not into nice stuff..I uess I don't either cause I bought her a $150 coach wallet for her birthday last year which she never used).
Sis doesn't want it and gives it to you. FREE bag!
