house phones?
i had my house phone forerver and its on its way out.
is there a good brand that i should be getting thats better than others?

All ours are vtech bought at Costco.
This is our 2nd set in 7 years...first one last 4-5 years but then one of hte hand helds wouldnt hold a charge anymore so we just got a new one.

i bought a set at BJ's, its uniden.. so far so good. it came with 3 cordless and 1 cord phone. i like to have at least 1 phone w/ a cord just in case!

this!!!! I had Panasonic's before, they didn't work well. I purchased the Uniden last week with the three cordless and one cord. So far I love it!!!!

The vtech i bought died after two years of use. Called vtech up and they were useless... told me to buy another set.
So i am buying Panasonic from now on.

Costco has a coupon on the panasonic right now. Three handheld and an answering machine.
I currently have the same three-set panasonic and only one of them is working well. I think they are only 4 years old, but I guess it's a good deal so I'm probably going with them again.

I have a Panasonic now, with an answering machine and two additional handsets, and it stinks. The handsets are constantly losing connection with the base, and we had to replace the rechargeable batteries fairly quickly.

i think i have a panasonic now, not super happy with it over the years.

I've had a panasonic set for about 6 years now with no problem. I bought it at Bj's. It comes with 3 hands free phones and answering machine. The best part is that it tells you who's calling. On the second ring it will say "call from ______" I can decide if I want go get up or not.

That's probably the set that I have, too. My favorite feature is that I can block individual phone numbers. When solicitors call too often, I save their number to my "blocked call list"....

I also have a panasonic with 2 handsets and answering machine. I've have it soooo many years I can't remember where I bought it. No problems.
