House Cleaning
I'm starting to cheat a little with mine and it just bugs me. I just can't get into certain corners anymore and I really don't want to bend down to much. It's been difficult for me being on pelvic rest so I was thinking about hiring someone.
My mom really can't help that much and my DH works so much he is too shot by the time he gets home. It just gets fustrating knowing I can't do things when things need to be done.
How are you doing with the housework? Are you thinking about hiring someone to help you out?

DH has been helping me. Actually just finished cleaning the whole house a little while ago. We are going to get a cleaning lady in a couple months.

Re: House Cleaning
I do it little by little. I no longer have the energy for a Sunday all-day cleaning marathon. I try to tackle one room a day.

Re: House Cleaning
I also do everything little by little and my husband does the big things like the floors and the tub...I try to move around as much as I can, squat, stretch, etc...I feel like I have more energy when I move around...but I also know my limits...and lately my feet have been helping me out as well...they swell up so much faster...

Re: House Cleaning
I am not pg but have a cleaning lady twice a month. It is one of the few luxuries I have and worth every penny.

Re: House Cleaning
i've definitely cut down a lot on the cleaning. THough, some days i clean things that i've never cleaned before! Guess it depends on the day. Most days i dont have the energy and dont really care.

I hired someone at about 6 months pregnant and it was the best money I've ever spent!!! With a newborn having a cleaning woman is even more invaluable!

Re: House Cleaning
I did it all until I was 38 weeks, 6 days along and I had a cleaning service come that day and then I was induced that night.
Then my mom helped me after he was born, now since we moved, I have a smaller house and I just clean when he is asleep.

Re: House Cleaning
I do what I can and DH will do the rest and anything BIG (floors, vaccuming, laundry).
My Mom will be staying with us after I deliver and can at least help DH with whatever I won't be able to do at first

Re: House Cleaning
I am an OCD clean freak so I am still doing my usual cleaning-just leaving the big stuff like bathtub scrubbing and moving furniture for hubby. I just do it at a much slower pace now.

Re: House Cleaning
I hired someone. She worked at my house today. She didn't finish everything and said she'll be back again. I think my house was that bad
Just curious for those of you that have a house cleaner. What does she do for you and how long does it take her?

Re: House Cleaning
We live in an apartment, so it's not that bad, but my DH is amazing. He helps out a lot, and on top of that, does all the cooking. He always has and is soo good at it. I'm very lucky

Re: House Cleaning
I travel for work a lot, so DH and I realized a few months ago it would be money well-spent if we hired a cleaning person. We have someone come every 2 weeks and she's wonderful. She brings a friend and they clean the whole house (spotless, too!) in about three hours. The first few times she came I kinda "timed" how long it took a team of two to clean the whole place, and it seems like they take between 2.5 and 3 hours....this makes me feel a lot better because there's no way I would find the 5-6 hours to clean the house the way they get it done. Coming into the house after I know they've been there is such a relaxing feeling. It's worth every cent....

DH did most of the cleaning even before I was pregnant. Now that he has to come to the hospital our moms are the ones cleaning our house.
