What is the nicest hotel in Queens? It doesn't have to be close to subway. I was looking for a 4 star hotel but it doesn't seem like there are any 4 star hotels in Queens. Thanks.

Hotels in Queens

That's tough - people don't necessarily come to Queens for vacation so most hotels are for airports/quick stays like La Quinta and such. We stayed at the Inn at Great Neck on the night of our wedding which isn't far from the Nassau/Queens border and it was really nice!

You are right. I have been trying to find a four star hotel but there are none in Queens.

Is anyone familiar with this area? There is a Hyatt place at 133-42 39th st in Flushing. It's close to main st and Roosevelt ave.

That's in the middle of Chinatown. Very busy and parking will be impossible.
How about one of the hotels by LaGuardia Airport?
Also try Long Island City.

Loveme - Hyatt has parking available for a fee so parking is not an issue. I heard China town is a very busy area and congested which is fine as long as it's a safe neighborhood. This is a brand new hotel so I thought it would be better than the airport hotels.

Re: Hotels in Queens

It is in the flight path to LaGuardia, the planes fly low directly overhead on their final approach to the airport.
I personally hate downtown Flushing - it is very noisy, very dirty and very congested.

There is a new Marriott Suites on Northern Blvd and 112 street, Adria Hotel on Northern Blvd in Bayside. Nothing just off the LIE that I can think of.
The airport hotels might be better than trying to find something else in Queens - most of them are in areas that are kind of weird - weird as in why would there be a hotel here ?

For anything 4 star, you would have to go into the city or into Nassau county (Garden City Hotel, Inn at Great Neck)

Honestly if it were me, there's no way I would stay in downtown Flushing. I agree with SusiBee, it's filthy and very congested.
The Adria hotel in Bayside is right off the Cross Island Parkway, so it's close to the highway, and it's a MUCH more desirable neighborhood.
