Hotels in Philly..have to make a decision

This will be DH's and I's first time in Philly to vacation and are debating between 3 hotels-the Ritz, Sofitel and Palomar...any thoughts? Also, any suggestions on neighborhoods, things to do? We want to stay safe (obviously) but have a good time...TIA!

We have stayed at the sofitel. It was very nice. Do the touristy thing, independance hall, betsy ross, etc- you can get a selfguided walking tour map

Our favorite hotel in Philly is the Hyatt at Penn's Landing. It's beautiful, and overlooks the water. You may want to look into it.

I stayed at the Sofitel with some friends a few years ago. Beautiful hotel and great location!

The Ritz is really nice, but on Broad Street (more business than historic). I think the Sofitel is a great choice.

we stayed at (and LOVED) the Westin. Great bar, amazing bedding, supernice staff, AND it has easy access to a mall! Chat Icon

do all the touristy things - they're pretty centrally located.

If you like brazilian steakhouses, Philly had the best one we've ever had -- Fogo de Chao on Chestnut St.
