hotels along I95

I am trying to convince DH that we can take our usual vacation to Key West with DD. The only issue is stopping on the way down and back. We always end up in disgusting hotels so I figured this time we should plan ahead!

Can any one recommend a nice CLEAN hotel close to I95. We usually make it down to Jacksonville the first day but I am thinking with DD we may have to stop in Georgie or maybe even South Carolina instead. . . any suggestions?

I needed this info 2 summers ago when we drove down to FL also, I dont know the website offhand,Im sure you can google for it.
but there are 2-3 websites specifically dedicated to ALL hotels along I95, and they are listed by Exit #s !! or by town/area. how cool is that ?? LOL

when we do the trip with a stop we usually plan and stay in SC in a hotel called Thunderbird. Is a little old but very clean, the people are really nice and their breakfast buffet is reaaally good. They also offer a dinner buffet really affordable. Is home made southern food pretty good.

I don't have any specific hotels to recommend, but there are tons along 95 in Florence, SC. I know that's a pretty popular spot to stop when driving to Florida.
